30 minute run + 30 day shred. Feels guuuuuud being back into a routine.
30 minute run + 30 day shred. Feels guuuuuud being back into a routine.
I noticed this week that my heart rate was not skyhigh like it used to be when I ran which means, my body must have gotten used to it/learned to be more efficient?
So now I have to go a little faster. Overall, its fine. It basically almost feels the same in a way… but the head games KILL MEEEEE. I keep telling myself “I’m going too fast, I can’t do this” but my legs don’t feel the same way. They just keep running.
I’ve also added an extra 5 minutes. I really want to learn to run for a full 45 minutes so that later on in the year when I get lazy (aka summer is over and I can put more clothes on again lols) I can cut back on the number of days I run.
The past 2 days I’ve done a 5k in around 33 minutes. I think thats pretty amazing since back in 2010 when I first got on a treadmill, I couldn’t even run for 60 seconds. :)
I still do 30 day shred but I alternate the levels based on how I’m feeling. It’s going okay but I’m going to download Insanity and add those into the mix some days too. I prefer Shaun T’s yelling over Jillian’s blabbering.
I probably wont ever get the chance to proudly wear a bikini, because even after all the work I’m currently doing to lose weight, I don’t think my body will catch up.
and i mean this in more of a “truth” way than a “i hate my body” way.
I am short and carry most of my weight in my tummy area… that’s just the truth of it.
chubz for life guys.
Its going to take me 40 days to get through 30 Day Shred, lawd! Day 19 done.
Yesterday I took a break from the working out and did some shopping, went to dinner, had some dranks and went out for more dranks with Marco.
He basically told me a hundred times, how beautiful I looked and how much the working out is paying off. He has basically been telling me all day today too. Not gonna lie, it felt GREAT.
I’m an old lady now and that took a lot out of me, being out all night. I slept most of the day today and then finally rolled out of bed around 5 and did Level 1 & 2 of 30 Day Shred. It was tough.
Definitely going on a run tomorrow.
In hindsight, I don’t know how good an idea it was to start another fitness challenge on top of the one I’m currently doing. I signed up for Tone It Up’s Bikini Challenge!
Today’s workout was a 45 minute HIIT run which KILLED ME. 45 minutes is a loooooooooooooong time to run, especially when I am running fast MORE than I am running slow. URGH I honestly had no idea how I was gonna push through! I just kept thinking about how I promised my friend Brittany that I would do it and finish and so I did! (Thanks Brittany!)
I came home and hesitated to do 30 day shred because I was so tired and not sure if it was smart but I’m so close to the end that I just sucked it up. I definitely half-assed the “cardio” parts of the workout but tried to really push through during the strength and ab work.
Tomorrow is another 45 minute HIIT run and an ab video. I will mostly likely continue to do 30 Day Shred because I’m almost done… a few more days wont kill me.
LAWD.

Gonna do Tone It Up’s interval workout today & I’m scurrrred. Normally I only do 30 minutes & 1 min intense followed by 2 min of recovery so this is definitely going to be a challenge!
done.
This weekend has been SO good to me. Did all of my workouts, ate delicious healthy foods and limited my alcohol consumption. Marco is so supportive and helpful and perfect. :)
I feel like I basically live in gym clothes these days.
I almost can’t believe how much I love it, actually love it. Not just say I do for the sake of not giving up. But really just enjoy working out and eating healthier. Sure, I still have my lazy moments & my food moments but that’s okay. I will always have those moments but the important thing is I get right back on it. I put a lot less pressure on myself this year and it really worked out for the best!
Level 2 of 30 day shred was a lot harder than I thought it would be but today I got through without any “5 second breaks” so thats something! I peeked at Level 3 and already want to die. jk
So apparently all of the Level 2 30 Day Shred videos have been removed from Youtube, I can’t find any. Thanks a lot Youtube.
I guess I’ll have to download buy it now.
Weighed myself this a.m.!
And while this is not a loss, it’s also not a gain and that makes me happy because last week was a little of a disaster… With lots of desserts, sugary drinks, missing a few workouts etc.
This week has definitely been better so far. I’m tempted to run today but I told myself I would take a break from it every 2 days (since I still am doing 30 day shred) and I really need to return my stupid Nike’s and possibly look into New Balance!
Gonna buy a Yoga mat because it is practically impossible to do plank moves on a carpet. I end up sliding around all over the place grrr.
Plus I should be starting Insanity up again soon so that mat will really help! Woohoo!!! :-)
