I’m debating whether or not to save them for Christmas. We don’t do Christmas gifts, we usually opt out of that and save our money for weekend trips/adventures. But one little gift wouldn’t hurt, amirite?

Seven Minutes of Terror for Mars Rover Curiosity
“When people look at it, it looks crazy. That’s a very natural thing,” says a brilliantly melancholy Adam Stelzner. “Sometimes when we look at it, it looks crazy.”
That’s the ominous introduction by Stelzner, an EDL Engineer for Mars Curiosity mission, for the incredible (and down right scary) NASA video that describes what the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) must endure when it reaches the Martian atmosphere in August.

I learned so much about this when I visited the JPL Open House and I’m really rooting for them and can’t wait to watch it that night! I told Marco now that I know so much about it, I feel like I’m a part of it so I’m going to cry tears with JPL if this mission fails. Crossing my fingers!
